Sand in Your Eyes, Senate!
So after the Senate rejected Schwarzenegger nominee to Cindy Tuck to chair the Air Resources Board at the end of session...Schwarzenegger renomiinated her for another job. Today, the last in a list of appointments was Tuck, as assistant secretary for policy at the Environmental Protection Agency. In fairness, most of the debate during her rejection centered on her not being a good choice for "chair" of the powerful Air Resources Board, because she had served as a lobbyist for the energy industry. Her new position does not require Senate confirmation. |
