for the love of pete...its DIANNE...2 N's.
If you're gonna be a CA politics blog you should at least spell her name right!
Me and the AP:
CARACAS, Venezuela - U.S. peace activist Cindy Sheehan, whose son was killed in Iraq, said she was considering running for office against Sen. Diane Feinstein while she waited for the California lawmaker to back a filibuster of Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito.

Still, that's no excuse.
Im sure the picture of her and Hugo Chavez together at Davos will be a "boost" for her campaign...I feel bad for her...I dont think she is getting good advice, she is looking like a puppet for the far left.
On the Media, the NPR show had an amazing segment about her several months back.
See the transcript here.
The main point was that as a "mom" she was untouchable--particularly in our society. But that to affect change she would have to become a political animal.
Here's how the show ended:
And therein lies the dilemma for mothers and mothers' movements. They are powerful because they are perceived as pure. They grab attention across the political spectrum precisely because they transcend politics. But the political arena is where change happens. A madonna has no place there. Once she enters, she's no purer than Dad.
