Bush Filing the Ninth
President Bush appointed two judges to the Ninth Circuit Court, which covers California as well as eight other Western states. One is the brother of Republican Sen. Gordon Smith of Oregon, Milan Smith, who is a former member of California's Fair Employment and Housing Commission. The other is Sandra Segal Ikuta, general counsel to the California Resources Agency. The ninth circuit court is the nation's largest federal appeals court. |
