Bill Bradley reports that after some server difficulties yesterday, the New West Notes site is back online, and with a long post about Reiner and his First Five Commission advertising. Bradley quotes from a contract between the commission and an advertising agency last year: “Preschool has evolved into the Commission’s number one priority,” states the contract, signed by commission chief deputy director Joseph Munso and GMMB partner Roy Behr. GMMB is also Rob Reiner’s campaign media firm. “Unless the Commission changes this direction, we assume that preschool will remain as the core focus of activities in the next few years.” Find the full post here. |

An enormous amount of Academy Awards traffic on the LA Weekly servers severely slowed and ultimately disrupted service to my blog till about noon Monday.
Since then there've been a few items of interest ... smoking gun language in the Reiner Commission's media contract, the revelation of a new Phil Angelides TV spot, the revelation that Arnold had to be talked out of attending the Golden Globes the night of an execution at San Quentin.
That kind of thing.
