    The latest from Field

    It seems that the Field Poll has had a new survey every day for two weeks--what with five released since Feb. 28th. The latest results are for Sen. Feinstein's reelection chances (very good) and Rob Reiner's universal pre-school proposal.

    In the head-to-head matchup Feinstein is leading former state Sen. Richard Mountjoy 56 to 28 percent. As for preschool, only 35 percent of the population is aware there is a preschool initiative in June. And when read the major provisions, support for the measure registered at 55 percent.
